La fluorapatite , également appelée fluoroapatite, est un minéral phosphaté de formule Ca₅(PO₄)₃F, un type de fluorophosphate de calcium. Ce minéral se caractérise par sa dureté et sa structure cristalline. Bien qu'elle puisse présenter diverses couleurs, comme le vert, le brun, le bleu, le jaune, le violet, voire être incolore, sa forme pure est généralement incolore en raison de l'absence de métaux de transition. La fluorapatite, tout comme l'hydroxyapatite, contribue à la formation de l'émail des dents, notamment chez les personnes utilisant un dentifrice fluoré. Dans un contexte industriel, ces deux minéraux sont extraits de roches phosphatées, où la fluorapatite est le composant prédominant, souvent associée à d'autres minéraux.
La fluorapatite présente un système cristallin hexagonal et forme fréquemment des solutions solides avec l'hydroxyapatite en milieu biologique. La chlorapatite (Ca₅(PO₄)₃Cl) est un minéral apparenté. Dans l'industrie, la fluorapatite est une source importante d'acide phosphorique et d'acide fluorhydrique.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
