La magnétite est un important minerai de fer, de formule chimique Fe₂O₄. Appartenant à la famille des oxydes de fer, elle présente des propriétés ferrimagnétiques : elle est attirée par les aimants et peut être magnétisée pour former un aimant permanent. Hormis les gisements de fer natif, extrêmement rares, la magnétite est le minéral naturel le plus magnétique sur Terre. Les fragments de magnétite naturellement magnétisés, appelés magnétite magnétique, ont joué un rôle déterminant dans la découverte du magnétisme par les civilisations anciennes, car ils pouvaient attirer de petits objets en fer. Ce minéral est généralement noir ou brun-noir, possède un éclat métallique, une dureté Mohs comprise entre 5 et 6, et laisse une trace noire lorsqu'il est rayé.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
