La neptunite est un minéral silicaté de formule KNa₂Li(Fe²⁺, Mn²⁺)₂Ti₂Si₈O₂₄. Elle forme une série avec la mangan-neptunite, la teneur en manganèse augmentant, tandis que la watatsumiite est une variante où le vanadium remplace le titane. Identifiée pour la première fois en 1893 dans la pegmatite de Narssârssuk, au Groenland occidental, la neptunite est également présente dans des veines de natrolite au sein de schistes glaucophanés du comté de San Benito (origine de cet échantillon), en Californie, ainsi qu'au mont Saint-Hilaire, au Québec, et dans la péninsule de Kola, en Russie. Ce minéral tire son nom de Neptune, dieu romain de la mer, en raison de son lien avec l'aegirine, nommée d'après Àgir, divinité marine scandinave.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
