La stibiconite est un minéral rare composé d'oxyde d'antimoine, de formule Sb₃O₆(OH). Son nom provient des mots grecs στίβι (stíbi), signifiant « antimoine », et κόνις (kónis), signifiant « poudre », reflétant sa composition chimique et son aspect physique. Ce minéral appartient au supergroupe des pyrochlores.
Identifiée pour la première fois en 1862 sur un site du district de Brandholz-Goldkronach, dans les monts Fichtel en Bavière (Allemagne), la stibiconite se forme par altération secondaire de minéraux d'antimoine hydrothermaux, notamment la stibnite. On la trouve généralement associée à d'autres minéraux tels que la cervantite, la valentinite, la kermésite, l'antimoine natif et la stibnite.
