Oolith ist eine Art Sedimentgestein, meist Kalkstein, das aus kleinen kugelförmigen Körnern, sogenannten Ooide oder Oolithe, besteht, die miteinander verklebt sind. Diese Gesteine entstehen in warmen, flachen und aktiven Meeresgewässern, wo sich Calciumcarbonat um ein Zentrum ansammelt und Schichten bildet, die in Kreisen gestapelt sind.
Calcit ist ein Karbonatmineral und die stabilste Form von Calciumcarbonat (CaCO3). Es ist weit verbreitet, insbesondere als Hauptbestandteil von Kalkstein. Calcit, mit einer Härte von 3 auf der Mohs-Skala, wird auf seine Ritzbarkeit getestet. Große Calcitkristalle werden in optischen Geräten verwendet, während Kalkstein, der hauptsächlich aus Calcit besteht, für eine Vielzahl von Zwecken dient.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
