Konichalcit ist ein grünes Arsenatmineral, das aus basischem Kupfer-Calcium-Arsenat besteht und typischerweise in der Oxidationszone von Kupferlagerstätten vorkommt. Es ist ein relativ seltenes, aber weit verbreitetes Mineral, das in Regionen wie Spanien, England, den Vereinigten Staaten, Mexiko, Chile und Namibia gefunden wird. Konichalcit wird als Sekundärmineral klassifiziert, was bedeutet, dass es durch die Alteration anderer Minerale, oft Enargit, in oxidierten Kupferlagerstätten entsteht.
