Creedit ist ein seltenes Mineral, das aus Calcium, Aluminium, Sulfat und Fluor besteht und durch die Formel Ca3Al2SO4(F,OH)10·2(H2O) dargestellt wird. Dieses Mineral bildet typischerweise prismatische Kristalle, die farblos, weiß oder violett-orange sein können und oft als zarte, nadelförmige Sprays aus feinen Prismen erscheinen. Seine Transparenz bis Durchsichtigkeit ist durch Brechungsindizes von nα = 1,461, nβ = 1,478 und nγ = 1,485 gekennzeichnet. Mit einer Mohshärte von 3,5 bis 4 und einem spezifischen Gewicht von 2,7 ist es relativ weich und leicht.
