Descloizit ist ein seltenes Mineral, das aus basischem Blei- und Zinkvanadat besteht, mit der chemischen Formel (Pb, Zn)2(OH)VO4. Es kristallisiert im orthorhombischen System und weist Isomorphie mit Olivenit auf. Das Mineral kann auch erhebliche Mengen an Gallium und Germanium in seine Struktur einbauen.
Seine Färbung reicht von tief kirschrot bis braun oder schwarz, und die Kristalle zeigen Transparenz oder Transluzenz mit einem fettigen Glanz. Die Strichfarbe erscheint orange-gelb bis braun, während sein spezifisches Gewicht zwischen 5,9 und 6,2 liegt und es eine Härte von 3,5 aufweist. Eine Variante namens Kuprodescloizit zeichnet sich durch einen stumpfgrünen Farbton aus, enthält erhebliches Kupfer, das Zink ersetzt, sowie etwas Arsen, das Vanadium substituiert. Zusätzlich existiert ein Arsenat-Analogon, das als Arsendescloizit bezeichnet wird.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
