Gold ist ein chemisches Element, das durch das Symbol Au (vom lateinischen aurum) dargestellt wird und die Ordnungszahl 79 besitzt. In seiner reinsten Form erscheint es als helles, leicht orange-gelbes, dichtes, weiches, formbares und duktiles Metall. Chemisch wird Gold als Übergangsmetall klassifiziert, gehört zur Gruppe 11 und gilt als eines der Edelmetalle. Es gehört zu den am wenigsten reaktiven chemischen Elementen, steht an zweitniedrigster Stelle in der Reaktivitätsreihe und ist unter Standardbedingungen fest.
Gold wird häufig in seinem freien elementaren (gediegenen) Zustand gefunden, wo es als Nuggets oder Körner in Gesteinen, Adern und alluvialen Ablagerungen vorkommt. Es kann in einer festen Lösungsserie mit dem gediegenen Element Silber (wie in Elektrolyt) existieren und ist natürlich mit anderen Metallen wie Kupfer und Palladium legiert, sowie mit mineralischen Einschlüssen, wie sie in Pyrit vorkommen. Weniger häufig ist es in Mineralien als Goldverbindungen vorhanden, oft in Verbindung mit Tellur (Goldtelluride).

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
