Mimetit ist ein Mineral, das aus Blei-Arsenat-Chlorid (Pb5(AsO4)3Cl) besteht und sich typischerweise als sekundäres Mineral in Bleilagerstätten durch die Oxidation von Galenit und Arsenopyrit bildet. Sein Name leitet sich vom griechischen Wort Μιμητής mimetes ab, was „Nachahmer“ bedeutet und seine Ähnlichkeit mit dem Mineral Pyromorphit hervorhebt. Diese Ähnlichkeit ist bedeutsam, da Mimetit Teil einer Mineralreihe ist, zu der sowohl Pyromorphit (Pb5(PO4)3Cl) als auch Vanadinit (Pb5(VO4)3Cl) gehören. Bemerkenswerte Fundorte für Mimetit sind Mapimi in Durango, Mexiko, und Tsumeb in Namibia.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
