Pyrrhotin, abgeleitet vom griechischen Wort für „flammenfarben“, ist ein seltenes Eisensulfidmineral mit der Formel Fe(1-x)S, wobei x von 0 bis 0,125 reicht. Dieses Mineral ist eine nicht-stöchiometrische Form von FeS, die gemeinhin als Troilit bezeichnet wird. Oft als magnetischer Pyrit bezeichnet, da seine Farbe der von Pyrit ähnelt, zeigt Pyrrhotin einen schwachen Magnetismus, der mit zunehmendem Eisengehalt abnimmt, während Troilit nicht magnetisch bleibt. Typischerweise erscheint Pyrrhotin tafelförmig mit einem messingfarbenen oder bronzenen Farbton und einem metallischen Glanz. Es wird häufig in Verbindung mit mafischen magmatischen Gesteinen wie Noriten gefunden und kann durch die Umwandlung von Pyrit während metamorpher Ereignisse entstehen.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
