Manganocalcit, auch bekannt als Manganocalcit, ist eine manganreiche Varietät von Calcit, die einen rosafarbenen Farbton aufweist. Ihre chemische Zusammensetzung wird durch die Formel (Ca,Mn)CO3 dargestellt. Ursprünglich im Bergbaugebiet Banská Štiavnica in der Slowakischen Republik identifiziert, ist dieses Mineral weltweit zu finden, mit bemerkenswerten Vorkommen in der Höhle der Schwerter in Naica, Chihuahua, Mexiko, und in Bulgarien.
Aufgrund ihrer Ähnlichkeiten kommt es oft zu Verwechslungen zwischen manganhaltigem Calcit und Rhodochrosit. Der Mangangehalt in manganhaltigem Calcit kann je nach Fundort variieren, und er existiert in einer festen Lösungsserie mit Calcit und Rhodochrosit, was zu einer tieferen roten Farbe führt, wenn die Mangan-Konzentration zunimmt.
Sphalerit, ein Sulfidmineral mit der Formel (Zn, Fe)S, dient als primäre Zinkquelle. Dieses Mineral kommt in verschiedenen Arten von Lagerstätten vor, vorwiegend in sedimentär-exhalativen, Mississippi-Valley-Typ- und vulkanogenen Massivsulfid-Formationen. Es wird häufig zusammen mit anderen Mineralien wie Galenit, Chalkopyrit, Pyrit und verschiedenen Karbonaten und Silikaten gefunden, einschließlich Calcit, Dolomit, Quarz, Rhodochrosit und Fluorit.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
