Ferberit ist das eisenreiche Endglied der Mangan-Eisen-Wolframit-Mischkristallreihe, wobei Hübnerit das Mangan-Endglied darstellt. Dieses schwarze monokline Mineral besteht hauptsächlich aus Eisen(II)-Wolframat oder FeWO4. Sowohl Ferberit als auch Hübnerit enthalten typischerweise zweiwertige Kationen von Eisen und Mangan, wobei Wolframit die Zwischenspezies in der Reihe darstellt. Ferberit kommt in körnigen Formen und schlanken prismatischen Kristallen vor, weist eine Mohshärte von 4,5 und ein spezifisches Gewicht von 7,4 bis 7,5 auf. Es wird häufig in Pegmatiten, granitischen Greisen und Hochtemperatur-Hydrothermalvorkommen gefunden und gilt als geringfügiges Wolfram-Erz. Ferberit wurde 1863 in Sierra Almagrera, Spanien, entdeckt und ist nach dem deutschen Mineralogen Moritz Rudolph Ferber benannt.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
