La datolite est classée comme un nésosilicate d'hydroxyde de calcium et de bore, de formule chimique CaBSiO4(OH). Elle a été découverte initialement par Jens Esmark en 1806, qui a dérivé son nom des mots grecs δατεῖσθαι, signifiant « diviser », et λίθος, signifiant « pierre », reflétant la structure granulaire du minéral.
Ce minéral cristallise dans le système monoclinique, formant des cristaux prismatiques et des nodules. Il présente un éclat vitreux et peut se décliner en différentes couleurs, notamment brun, jaune, vert clair ou incolore. La datolite a une dureté Mohs de 5,5 et une densité comprise entre 2,8 et 3,0.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
