Danburite is a calcium boron silicate mineral represented by the chemical formula CaB2(SiO4)2. With a Mohs hardness ranging from 7 to 7.5 and a specific gravity of 3.0, it exhibits an orthorhombic crystal structure. While it is commonly colorless, resembling quartz, it can also appear in shades of pale yellow or yellowish-brown, primarily found in contact metamorphic rocks.
