AEGIRIN (ACMITE), MOUNT MALOSA, ZOMBA, MALAWI
Aegirin (bis 1988 ACMIT genannt) gehört zur Klinopyroxen-Gruppe der Inosilicat-Minerale und ist das Natrium-Endglied der Aegirin-Augit-Serie. Seine chemische Zusammensetzung wird durch die Formel NaFeSi2O6 dargestellt, wobei Eisen als Fe3+-Ion vorliegt. Innerhalb der Aegirin-Augit-Serie kann Natrium teilweise durch Calcium ersetzt werden, während Eisen(II) und Magnesium Eisen(III) ersetzen können, um den Ladungsausgleich aufrechtzuerhalten. Zusätzlich kann Aluminium Eisen(III) ersetzen. Eine bemerkenswerte Varietät dieses Minerals ist Acmite, die sich durch ihr faseriges grünes Aussehen auszeichnet.
Aegirin bildet typischerweise dunkelgrüne monokline prismatische Kristalle, die einen glasartigen Glanz und perfekte Spaltbarkeit aufweisen. Seine Härte auf der Mohs-Skala liegt zwischen 5 und 6, und es hat eine spezifische Dichte, die zwischen 3,2 und 3,4 liegt.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
