Dioptas ist ein auffälliges Mineral, das sich durch seine lebendige smaragdgrüne bis bläulich-grüne Farbe auszeichnet und als Kupfersilizium-Ringsilikat klassifiziert wird. Es weist eine Transparenz von durchsichtig bis durchscheinend auf und besitzt einen glasartigen bis subadamantinen Glanz. Die chemische Zusammensetzung von Dioptas ist Cu6Si6O18·6H2O, mit einer alternativen Darstellung als CuSiO2(OH)2. Es hat eine Mohs-Härte von 5, vergleichbar mit der von Zahnschmelz, und ein spezifisches Gewicht von 3,28 bis 3,35. Das Mineral weist zwei perfekte Spaltrichtungen und eine sehr gute Spaltrichtung auf, ist aber bemerkenswert zerbrechlich und erfordert daher eine sorgfältige Handhabung. Dioptas kristallisiert in einem trigonalen System und bildet typischerweise sechsseitige Kristalle, die in rhomboedrischen Formen gipfeln.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
