Grossular ist ein Calcium-Aluminium-Vertreter der Granat-Mineralgruppe, charakterisiert durch die chemische Formel Ca3Al2(SiO4)3. In seiner Zusammensetzung kann Calcium teilweise durch Eisen(II) ersetzt werden, während Aluminium durch Eisen(III) ersetzt werden kann. Der Name Grossular leitet sich von der Stachelbeere, Grossularia, ab, was die grüne Varietät dieses Granats, die in Sibirien gefunden wird, widerspiegelt. Er kommt auch in anderen Farben vor, darunter zimtbraun, rot und gelb, und ist als Edelstein anerkannt.
In geologischen Kontexten wurde Grossular häufig als Grossularit bezeichnet. Seit 1971 rät die International Mineralogical Association jedoch von der Verwendung des Begriffs Grossularit für dieses Mineral ab.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
