Hollandit, mit der chemischen Formel Ba(Mn4+6Mn3+2)O16, ist ein Manganoxidmineral, das sich durch seine einzigartige Struktur auszeichnet, die Doppelketten von MnO6-Oktaedern aufweist, die 2 × 2 Tunnel bilden. Die elektrostatische Ladung, die aus der Substitution von Mn3+ durch Mn4+ resultiert, wird durch Kationen neutralisiert, die sich in diesen Tunneln befinden, und der spezifische Kationentyp definiert die Mineralspezies: Barium für Hollandit, Kalium für Kryptomelan, Blei für Coronadit, Strontium für Strontiomelan, Thallium für Thalliomelan und Natrium für Manjiroit. Reine Formen dieser Minerale sind selten, da die meisten 2 × 2 Tektomanganate aus verschiedenen Tunnelkationenmischungen bestehen. Ein Mineral, das ursprünglich als Hollandit identifiziert wurde, mit der Zusammensetzung BaMn4+6Fe3+2O16, wurde in der Kajlidongri-Mine in Madhya Pradesh, Indien, entdeckt. Im Jahr 2012 stufte die International Mineralogical Association es jedoch als Ferrihollandit neu ein, der das Barium-Eisen(III)-Endglied der Coronadit-Gruppe darstellt.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
