Johannsenit, CaMn2+Si2O6 ist ein seltenes Silikatmineral aus der Pyroxen-Gruppe, das entweder in Kalkstein oder durch metamorphe Prozesse entsteht. Es wird oft mit Blei-Zink-Vererzungen in Verbindung gebracht und gilt als relativ selten, obwohl es im Aravaipa-Gebiet in Arizona in großer Menge vorkommen soll. Typischerweise tritt es in kugelförmigen Aggregaten auf. Johannsenit ist anfällig für Oxidation, Hydratation und Karbonatisierung und erfährt häufig eine Umwandlung zu Rhodonit. Das Mineral wurde 1932 zu Ehren von Albert Johannsen benannt.
