Lepidolith ist ein lila-graues oder rosafarbenes Mineral, das zur Glimmergruppe gehört und durch die chemische Formel K(Li,Al)3(Al,Si,Rb)4O10(F,OH)2 gekennzeichnet ist. Es ist das am weitesten verbreitete lithiumhaltige Mineral und dient als sekundäre Quelle dieses essenziellen Metalls. Zusätzlich ist es eine bedeutende Quelle des Alkalimetalls Rubidium.
Dieses Mineral befindet sich typischerweise zusammen mit anderen lithiumreichen Mineralien, wie Spodumen, in Pegmatitformationen. Lepidolith kann auch in Hochtemperatur-Quarzadern, Greisen und Granitvorkommen entdeckt werden. Als Schichtsilikatmineral ist es Teil der Polylithionit-Trilithionit-Reihe, zu der Polylithionit, Lepidolith und Trilithionit gehören. Diese drei Mineralien weisen ähnliche Eigenschaften auf, die auf die unterschiedlichen Verhältnisse von Lithium und Aluminium in ihren chemischen Zusammensetzungen zurückzuführen sind.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
