Aus dem tiefen Bereich der Mine und 1989 entdeckt. Es war eine große Entdeckung. Dies ist vielleicht das einzige Exemplar, das noch auf dem Markt ist; zumindest ist es eines der besseren Exemplare. Klassische hexagonale Kristalle bis zu 10 mm.
Pyrrhotin ist ein weit verbreitetes magnetisches Eisensulfidmineral (Fe₁₋ₓS), das sich durch seinen bronzebraunen Farbton auszeichnet, der oft Anzeichen von Anlaufen zeigt. Dieses Mineral dient als bedeutende Nickelquelle und hat historische Bedeutung bei der Eisenproduktion. Es ist jedoch berüchtigt für seine Rolle bei der Zerstörung von Beton und dem Reißen von Fundamenten, insbesondere in Regionen wie Neuengland, wo seine Oxidation zu Ausdehnung führt. Oft als "magnetischer Pyrit" bezeichnet, weist Pyrrhotin einen metallischen Glanz, einen grau-schwarzen Strich und eine Härte von 3,5 bis 4 auf. Es kann in magmatischen und metamorphen Gesteinen sowie in hydrothermalen Adern gefunden werden, häufig zusammen mit Mineralien wie Pentlandit, Pyrit und Chalkopyrit.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
