Amethyst ist eine transparente, grobkörnige Form des Quarzminerals Siliciumdioxid, das als Halbedelstein wegen seines unverwechselbaren violetten Farbtons geschätzt wird. Obwohl er die physikalischen Eigenschaften von Quarz teilt, hat Amethyst eine höhere Konzentration an Eisenoxid (Fe2O3) im Vergleich zu anderen Quarzvarietäten, was vermutlich zu seiner Färbung beiträgt. Alternative Erklärungen für seine Farbe umfassen das Vorhandensein von Mangan oder Kohlenwasserstoffen. Die Farbe von Amethyst kann durch Erhitzen verändert oder entfernt werden, wodurch er in die gelbe Variante, den Citrin, umgewandelt werden kann; die meisten kommerziell erhältlichen Citrine werden auf diese Weise hergestellt. Bedeutende Amethystvorkommen finden sich unter anderem in Brasilien, Uruguay, Ontario und North Carolina.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
