Saleeit ist ein Sekundärmineral, das in den oxidierten Zonen von Uranlagerstätten oder als disseminierte Partikel in carnotitreichen Sandsteinen vorkommt. Seine chemische Zusammensetzung wird durch die Formel Mg(UO2)2(PO4)2·10(H2O) dargestellt.
Es wurde erstmals 1932 in Shinkolobwe in der Provinz Katanga in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo identifiziert und ist nach dem belgischen Mineralogen Achille Salée benannt, der Professor an der Université catholique de Louvain war. Spätere Analysen ergaben, dass das Mineral aus Katanga tatsächlich Meta-Saleeit mit der Formel Mg(UO2)2(PO4)2·8(H2O) ist und die Typlokalität als die Grube Weißer Hirsch in Neustädtel, im Schneeberg-Distrikt des Erzgebirges in Sachsen, Deutschland, festgelegt wurde.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
