Sphalerit, ein Sulfidmineral, das durch die chemische Formel (Zn, Fe)S dargestellt wird, dient als Haupterz für die Zinkextraktion. Dieses Mineral kommt in verschiedenen Lagerstättentypen vor, hauptsächlich in sedimentär-exhalativen, Mississippi-Valley-Typ- und vulkanogenen Massivsulfidformationen. Es ist häufig mit anderen Mineralien wie Galenit, Chalkopyrit, Pyrit sowie Calcit, Dolomit, Quarz, Rhodochrosit und Fluorit assoziiert.
Calcit ist ein Karbonatmineral und die stabilste Form von Calciumcarbonat (CaCO3). Es ist weit verbreitet, insbesondere als Schlüsselelement in Kalkstein. Mit einer Härte von 3 auf der Mohs-Skala wird Calcit nach seiner Ritzbarkeit bewertet. Große Calcitkristalle werden in optischen Geräten verwendet, während Kalkstein, der hauptsächlich aus Calcit besteht, vielfältigen Zwecken dient.
Dieses Exemplar weist auch Miniaturkristalle und Tausende von winzigen Calcit- oder Dolomitkristallen (weiß) auf, und die Matrix ist ein Sulfid.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
