Volborthit (grünes Mineral) ist ein extrem seltenes Mineral, das aus Kupfer und Vanadium besteht und durch die chemische Formel Cu3V2O7(OH)2·2H2O dargestellt wird. Es wurde 1838 im Ural entdeckt, ursprünglich Knaufit genannt, später jedoch zu Ehren des russischen Paläontologen Alexander von Volborth (1800–1876) umbenannt.
Volborthit ist ein extrem seltenes Oxidationsmineral, das in vanadinhaltigen hydrothermalen Kupfererzen vorkommt, oft zusammen mit Mineralien wie Brochantit, Malachit, Atacamit, Tangeit, Chrysokoll, Baryt und Gips.
Tangeit, auch bekannt als Calciovolborthit, hat die Formel CaCuVO4(OH) und ist eng mit Volborthit verwandt. Das Mineral wurde erstmals 1837 in der Sofronovskii-Mine in Yugovskii Zavod, in der Region Perm im Mittleren Ural, Russland, identifiziert.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
