Oolitic is a kind of sedimentary rock, usually limestone, made up of small spherical grains known as ooids or ooliths, which are stuck together. These rocks develop in warm, shallow, and active marine waters where calcium carbonate builds up around a center, forming layers that are stacked in circles.
Calcite is a carbonate mineral and the most stable form of calcium carbonate (CaCO3). It is widely found, especially as a key element in limestone. Calcite, with a hardness rating of 3 on the Mohs scale, has its scratchability assessed. Large crystals of calcite are utilized in optical devices, while limestone, primarily made up of calcite, serves a variety of purposes.

If your item arrives damaged, we kindly ask that you provide a short, continuous video showing the specimen from at least six angles. You can simply hold it in your hands and gently rotate it while filming. Please also include a clear view of the package label in the video so we can assist you as quickly as possible.
For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
