Aktinolith ist ein Silikatmineral aus der Amphibolgruppe, das durch die chemische Formel Ca2(Mg4.5–2.5Fe2+0.5–2.5)Si8O22(OH)2 gekennzeichnet ist.
Sein Name stammt vom griechischen Begriff aktis, was „Strahl“ oder „Strahlen“ bedeutet und seine faserige Struktur widerspiegelt.
Aktinolith dient als Zwischenglied in einer festen Lösungsserie zwischen magnesiumreichem Tremolit und eisenreichem Ferro-Aktinolith, was den Austausch von Magnesium- und Eisenionen innerhalb seines Kristallgitters ermöglicht.
Dieses Mineral findet sich häufig in metamorphen Gesteinen, insbesondere in Kontaktzonen um abgekühlte intrusive magmatische Formationen, und entsteht durch die Metamorphose magnesiumreicher Kalksteine. Zusätzlich wird der Begriff Uralit manchmal verwendet, um ein Alterationsprodukt von primärem Pyroxen zu beschreiben, das hauptsächlich aus Aktinolith besteht und häufig in metamorphosiertem Gabbro oder Diabas, bekannt als Epidiorit, vorkommt.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
