Ein sehr seltenes und älteres Exemplar aus dem Lengenbach Steinbruch.
Dufrénoysit wurde erstmals in der Grube Lengenbach im Binntal des Schweizer Kantons Wallis entdeckt. Das Mineral wurde 1845 von Augustin Alexis Damour beschrieben, der es zu Ehren des französischen Geologen und Mineralogen Armand Dufrénoy benannte. 1864 untersuchte Julius Berendes in seiner Dissertation die Eigenschaften dieses Minerals genauer.
Hutchinsonit ist ein seltenes Sulfosalzmineral, das aus Thallium, Arsensulfat und Blei besteht und die chemische Formel (Tl,Pb)2As5S9 hat. Dieses hydrothermale Mineral wurde 1903 erstmals anhand einer im Binntal, Schweiz, gesammelten Probe identifiziert und anschließend 1904 zu Ehren des Cambridge-Mineralogen Arthur Hutchinson, F.R.S. (1866–1937), benannt.
Smithit ist ein Sulfosalzmineral, das durch die chemische Formel AgAsS2 gekennzeichnet ist. Es wurde erstmals 1905 von dem Mineralogen R. H. Solly anhand von Exemplaren identifiziert, die im Lengenbach-Steinbruch bei Binn, Schweiz, gesammelt wurden. Das Mineral ist nach Herbert Smith benannt, der als Assistent in der mineralogischen Abteilung des Britischen Museums (Naturgeschichte) tätig war. Bemerkenswert ist, dass Smithit ein Dimorph von Trechmannit ist.
