Uwarowit ist ein chromreiches Mitglied der Granatgruppe, dargestellt durch die chemische Formel Ca3Cr2(SiO4)3. Es wurde erstmals 1832 von Germain Henri Hess identifiziert, der es zu Ehren von Graf Sergei Uwarow, einem russischen Staatsmann und Mineralienliebhaber, benannte. Dieses Mineral wird der Ugrandit-Gruppe zugeordnet, zu der weitere kalziumhaltige Granate wie Andradit und Grossular gehören.
Uwarowit gilt als der seltenste unter den bekannten Granaten und zeichnet sich durch seine einzigartige smaragdgrüne Farbe aus, was ihn zur einzigen durchweg grünen Granatart macht. Er bildet typischerweise gut definierte, feinkörnige Kristalle.

For all items reported as damaged or broken, we do require the item to be returned to us before a refund can be processed.
Return shipping costs are initially the responsibility of the customer. However, if your claim is approved after review, we will reimburse your reasonable return postage costs.
